Term 1
Year 8 pupils will deepen their understanding of the formal elements and strengthen their practical skills through the theme All About Me. The project explores their identity, environment and portraiture, with each term focusing on a different discipline. Term one centres on Fine Art, where pupils refine and extend the observational drawing and painting techniques learned in Year 7, becoming more confident, resilient and independent while further developing their creative practice.
